The conference of the union of weavers, production and sale of handwoven carpets in Qom was held on 18/01/2020 in the hall of the Qom Chamber of Commerce.
Unveiling of the geographical registration of Qom handwoven carpet
In this section, Mr. Khosh Goftar Moghadam presented his material regarding the process of geographical registration of Qom handwoven carpets in the international intellectual property organization WIPO. At the end of his speech, the registration certificate was unveiled.
In this section, Mr. Hossein Beikzadeh, on behalf of the Iran Guereh Company, presented information about the need to have a certificate for handwoven carpets. He also unveiled the certificate of hand-woven carpet and explained the process of issuing the certificate, from the application to the inquiry and ownership of the rug.
In this section, Honorable Mr. Abolfazl Sadeghi, Vice President of the Union, presented a work flow report and various issues about the 16th Qom Handwoven carpet Exhibition.
Appreciation of the board members of previous unions
In this section, the members of the previous board of directors and Protagonists were appreciated in this regard by donating a flower branch and an exquisite gift and a plaque of appreciation.
In this part of the conference, Mr. Reza Erami, one of the veterans of Qom's hand-woven carpets, expressed useful information about the issues of the Union and the Wage Council.
