Description

The Rugs which its background is divided into several parts from the width and longitudinal stripes and patterns with different colors are repeated in the longitudinal direction, are known as Moharamat (striped) designs. Old cloth sellers called colorful striped cloth (Moharamat). The design of Moharamat dates back to the Achaemenid and Sassanid periods, and the striped design with abstract motifs can be seen in pre-Islamic pottery and fabrics. In this rug, patterns of curved Boteh have been repeated in the longitudinal direction of the rug, which has given a special beauty to this design. All of the used fibers are natural and have been dyed with herbal colors and in a natural method in this rug.
