In designs which a pattern is repeated all over the rug in both longitudinal and transverse directions, is called Vagireh design. As it can be seen motifs of cone and olive are repeated throughout the rug. The motifs used in Pigna rug are inspired by the existing elements at the ancient and artistic village of Pigna on the island of Corsica located in the south of France and the Mediterranean. The naming reason of Pigna is the presence of pine cone in the village that once surrounded the whole village. The design has been designed in collaboration with one of the well-known artists this village called Mr.Toni Casalonga. All of the fibers used in this rug are natural and have been dyed with herbal colors and in a natural method.
