The design of Medallion-Corner is one of the oldest designs of Persian rug, which is designed on two axes of symmetry and includes a medallion in the center of the rug and four corner in the corners of the rug. The origin of Medallion-Corner design goes back to Iranian gardens and is a symbol of garden and paradise. The origination of Medallion-Corner design in this rug has been taken from weaving area called Farahan in Arak. Farahan medallion-Corner design is one of the oldest designs of Master Ali Rashtizadeh, which was created in 1340 persian solar in Rashtizadeh rug workshop which is one of the valuable museum works of this collection. All of the fibers used in this rug are natural and have been dyed with herbal colors and in a natural method.
