At first, Mr. Hossein Beikzadeh, the secretary of Qom Handwoven Carpet Employers Guild, stated that on October 17, 2023 elections will be held in the Qom Chamber of Commerce and the notification has been made. The issue that should be addressed is the change in the articles of association to increase the board of directors from 3 people to 5 people in order to use the potentials and wisdom of the collective more. To change the constitution, it is necessary to hold an extraordinary general meeting. The basic approvals are as follows.

1. Formation of required specialized commission including dispute resolution, inspection, technical, production, export, education and welfare services and other commissions that are not provided in this constitution.
2. Forming a hand-woven carpet expert council and continuously monitoring the performance of this council
3. Forming a specialized cooperative company according to the need with the participation of the members of the association, especially the cooperative company for the supply of raw materials
4. Cooperative company for the management and ownership of a permanent exhibition of handwoven rugs
5. Managing execution and holding and attending domestic and foreign specialized exhibitions
6. Development of the association area to the level of the country and abroad
7. Carrying out scientific and research activities related to handwoven rugs inside and outside the country
8. Managing the implementation and holding of training courses required by members and holding specialized conferences and roundtables, as well as attending domestic and foreign specialized conferences and translating and authoring professional articles.
9. Sending business and marketing delegations to foreign countries and accepting business and marketing delegations from foreign countries

Mr. Mohammad Reza Rashtizadeh, the head of Qom rug Employers Trade Union, while welcoming the present friends, considered it important to unite and speak the same language to achieve short and long term goals. He added that the first problem in the current market is the supply and sale of rugs. The rugs that is produced in Qom today has improved in terms of quality, variety, etc., compared to the carpet that has been produced in recent years, but there is no academic literacy in its supply. Also, in maintaining the value of the rug, it is better to calculate the price of the carpet in dollars. If this issue is implemented in the carpet community, the value of persian rugs will be preserved

Mr. Abolfazl Khoshsohbat, a producer of hand-woven rugs, added that according to the constitution, the union does not have the executive power to do all the work. Therefore, it is better for the association to establish a basic letter to identify the problems in the market and then plan for them.

Mr. Mohsen Shirazi, a producer of hand-woven rugs, said that the power of a private group like an association, where people have gathered together to achieve a strong goal, can be greater than official structures. Also, regarding the implementation of Ahafd, he suggested that tasks, obstacles, communication with stakeholders, etc., should be categorized and done in the form of a project.

Mr. Javad Elyasi, a producer of hand-woven rugs and inspector of the union, added that the union has high executive power, but because the members of the union are union members, they ignore many events.

Amir Hossein Erami, a producer of hand-woven rugs, suggested that the members of the association form a fund and allocate money to it. He also added that rugs are expensive according to the talks with businessmen of the world. So there is a question from Mr. Kazemi, is the selling price of the carpet expensive? How should it be marketed?

Javad Kazemi, a producer of hand-woven rugs and a member of the Qom Chamber of Commerce, said in response that there are different brands in Qom carpet production, and each brand has its own work policy and price. He stated that different organizations are not against each other and each is considered as an arm of the other, and the association should also move in a direction that seeks to open the basic knots.

Mr. Mohammad Reza Sedighian, a producer of hand-woven rugs, said that as a forward-looking group, work and ideas should be done to attract people. He suggested that the class should be made academic to solve the problems.

In the end, it was decided that the association would form a fund and people would pay an amount as a membership fee and the right to enter the association.
