Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage visit to Timcheh Bozorg Bazaar

According to a Mehr reporter, Seyyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, entered the historic bazaar of Qom on Thursday morning, accompanied by Akbar Behnamjoo, Governor of Qom, and visited the Grand Bazaar.

During this visit, in addition to examining the status of handwoven rug supply rooms, the Minister of Cultural Heritage also spoke with investors and economic activists in this field, was directly informed of their problems, and issued orders to follow up and remove existing obstacles.

During this visit, the accompanying officials introduced Qom's hand-woven rug as one of the most luxurious handicraft products in the country and evaluated its capabilities in developing the tourism economy of the province.

The importance of registering the Qom rug brand globally and promoting its position was also emphasized to increase the share of this product in domestic and foreign markets.

The historic bazaar of Qom, especially its large Timcheh, is considered a significant work of persian-Islamic architecture, which, in addition to its economic role, has become one of the province's important religious and cultural tourism attractions in recent years.
