Description

The upside-down tulip (Laleh Vazhgoun) is one of the mythical Iranian flowers. Because of its growth in high rocky areas, it is a symbol of resistance. It is seen next to the tree of life in Sassanid sculptures, and therefore this flower was a symbol of immortality and life in ancient Iran.
