Objectives: - Improving the level of knowledge, innovation and creativity in the field of handwoven Carpet design and painting - Identifying the potential abilities of designers in each region - Setting the stage for creating job opportunities for young and unknown designers - Creating a bridge between designers and producers who are eligible to participate in Competition: All artists in the field of handwoven Carpet design and painting can participate in this artistic event. Contest schedule: - August 15, 2016: registration begins - November 30, 2016: deadline for submission of works - First half of December 2016: judging and selection of selected works - November 16, 2016 at the Golden Knot Conference of Master Rashtizadeh: awarding of prizes and honoring of the winners

The presented works should be presented with the general approach of creativity and innovation in the design, color and pattern of Iranian handwoven Carpets in the following three styles and by hand or computer file. 1- Free and mental style (classical and modern) 2- Original style based on traditional Iranian design (Shah Abbasi, Gol Farang, Shekargah, Slimi, etc.) 3- Broken style based on regional originality (Haris, Bakhshaysh, Sarouq and...) Note 1: Item 1 should only be presented as a final effect with color and dots, and items 2 and 3 can be presented in the drawing (pencil) and painting (color and dots) sections. Note 2: Each person is allowed to present a maximum of 2 works in each section of the drawing and painting competition.

Eligible candidates can submit their works along with the completed form of the certificate of the design or rug design and the specification form of the designer-rug painter to the office of the association in Kashan University or to the competition secretariat located at Qom-19Day street-30 Alley-No.1 or to the office of the Association of Design Artists and Painter of Qom Province, located in Qom, Hojjat Passage-6th Floor, should deliver and receive a receipt no later than 21/11/2017. Note 3- Delivery of the work will mean acceptance of the terms and conditions of participating in the exhibition and competition, as well as the permission to display the work in the exhibition and print in the book related to the competition.Criteria for the selection and judging of the works: -Design section 1-Creativity and innovation 2-Attention to the composition and coordination of the design based on the demand of the market day 3-Compliance with the design rules 4-The strength of the pen 5-Originality of the design (conformity with the regional design style)- Color and point section 1-Creativity and innovation (space creation and color distribution) 2-Attention to the composition and coordination of color based on market demand 3-Observing the composition, coordination and harmony of colors on the design 4-The skill of the painter in terms of color style Placement and legibility of the Design 5- Observing the originality of coloring based on regional originality
