In designs which a pattern is repeated all over the rug in both longitudinal and transverse directions, is called repetitive (Vagireh) design. As it can be seen motif of Andalusia is repeated throughout the rug. The motif of Andalusia which includes eight knots with decorative flowers and leaves, is taken from the pattern used in the architecture of the beautiful Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain. Due to the fact that this rug is a symbol of Islamic art in the Al Hamra Palace in Spain, this rug has been named Andalusia, meaning Old Spain. All of the used fibers are natural and have been dyed with herbal colors and in a natural method in this rug.
